Veronica Kropacek / Kroperlikova was born Abt. 1828 in Bohemia, and died October 11, 1909 in Kewaunee, Kewaunee County, WI. She married Joseph Novak. Includes NotesNotes for Veronica Kropacek / Kroperlikova:
Obiturary from the Kewaunee Enterprise, October 15, 1909Another old pioneer crossed the great divide which sepatrates us from the hereafter, when Mrs. Veronika Novak died at the home of her son, Joseph Novak, last Monday morning at seven o"colck, at the ripe old age of eighty-one years. Deceased was born in Bohemia in 1828, and emigrated to this country with her husband, the late Joseph Novak, in 1865. They located at Milwaukee where Mr. Novak was engaged in the saloon business, but remained there only two years, when the moved to Pierce Town, this county and settled on a farm, where they lived until the death of Mr. Novak. Since that time Mrs. Novak made her home with her son Joseph about a mile west of the city of Kewaunee.Deceased was a woman of sterling qualities, being a kind and loving wife and mother, and esteemed by all who knew her for her industry honesty and willingness to always give a helping hand to any one who needed it. She was in perfect health until the day of her death, arising early Monday morning, dressing and taking her morning bath without assistance, but it was only an hour later when she received her summons "to join the innumerable caravan which moves to that mysterious realm where each shall take his chamber in the silent halls of death."Mrs. Novak was the mother of eight children, three of whom died in infancy, the surviving being a son, Joseph of West Kewaunee, and four daughters: Mrs. Frank Worachek of Casco, Mrs. John Riha of Carlton, Mrs. Kate Drab of Carlton, and Mrs. John Hlinak of Montpelier, and to each of them the may friends and neighbors extend their deepest sympathy. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at ten o'clock from the Catholic church in Kewaunee, Rev. Kubal officiating and was one of the largest ever seen in this vicinity. (JN)More About Veronica Kropacek / Kroperlikova:
