Obituary courtesy of Bob BlahnikWorachek, Martha Martha Worachek, 81, N4319 Highway 42, Kewaunee, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 30, 1923, to the late Joseph and Theresa (Ney) Ray. She married Loddie E. Worachek Oct. 7, 1947, at Holy Trinity Church in Casco. He preceded her in death Aug. 1, 1998. Martha and Loddie farmed in the town of Pierce until retiring. She enjoyed cooking, canning, baking and taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the Rosary Society, American Legion Post 319 Auxiliary and V.F.W. Post 3392 Auxiliary and was its president for the last 28 years. Survivors include four sons, Joseph, twins, Donald and Ronald and Francis, all of Kewaunee; three daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Greg Denil, Kathy and Joe Gioe and Ann and Roger Wendricks, all of Kewaunee; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and four sisters, Rita Stoller, Frances Larscheid, both of Green Bay; Agnes Delebreau, Casco; Gen Stoller, Algoma; and three sisters-in-law, Helen Wery, Kewaunee; Florence Worachek, Algoma; and Emma Worachek, Casco. She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Alexis Melnarik; one brother, Ben Ray; and two sisters, Anna Hardtke and Loretta Blahnik. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. V.F.W. Auxiliary services will be at 5:45 p.m. and parish wake services will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation continues Friday at the funeral home until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee with Fr. William Kuhr officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
