Because the child died at birth, it was not baptised and the Catholic Church would not allow burial in their cemetery. This was very upsetting to the Blahnik family.
Apparently the child was very large and there was a very difficult labor (per grand daughter Bette Jane Blahnik)

Posted December 27, 2007Hackett, Norma Norma Hackett, 96, Algoma, went to eternal rest meeting her husband, Howard on Monday Dec. 24, 2007. She was born April 24, 1911, in Forestville to the late Joseph and Julia (Wierichs) Meyers. She married Howard Hackett in Kewaunee on Aug. 5, 1933. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1997. Norma was very involved in the church, sent many things to the missions, was involved in community services, drove many people around and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, William Hackett, Michael (Judi) Hackett, Marilyn (Don) Blahnik and Diane (Keith) Knapp; 10 grandchildren, Julie Gridley, Jay (Diana) Blahnik, Scott (Penny) Blahnik, Debi (Larry) Bouche, William Hackett Jr., Lori (Jon) Leanna, Dean (Kelli) Hackett, Kim (Kurt) Wolosek, David (Kay) Hackett, Joseph Hackett and Aimee; 11 great grandchildren; Norma was also expecting her first great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Gloria Hackett; an infant son, John and also one brother.
