My grandfather, Adam Selner, 1852 - 1932. He married Anna Hana in Bohemia, Stankov area. He and Anna came to this country in 1880. They brought one son, 6 months old, with them. They settled in Kewaunee CO. and most likely they came because the Blahniks were here. To finish with my family. My father was Frank, 1900-1972. But he is from Adam's 2nd wife, Katerina Hartlova. Anna had died. My father married Mary Blazek in 1929. I was born in 1937.When we went to GB to shop for school clothes, my dad would visit Antone Blahnik, who was a first cousin to my dad. [Antone 1885 worked for Kraft and came up with the design of processed cheese] [Amtpme was 100 years when he died] Adam Selner's sister was Anna (Selner) Blahnik 1858, wife of Joseph Blahnik of Algoma, WI. I have an uncertified copy of Anna's death certificate. She was 60 years at death. Joseph signed the certificate and listed Anna's father as Mr. Selnar, my great-grandfather. She's buried in the Catholic Cemetery at Algoma on Oct. 29, 1918. Paul Blahnik of IL has sent me a lineup of his family and I have that to find. Sorry this is so scant, but now you have the basics of Adam Selner. Selnar was used on the death certificate. I think Selner is a common name.

Subject: BlahnikDear Agnes,
Joel Blahnik of Wisconsin send me an email with a copy to your email address.
That is why I am writing you.
I am Zdenek Blahnik of Bohemia, Europe. My father was Zdenek Blahnik b. 1924, my grandfather was Josef Blahnik b. 1899, and my grandgrandfather was Frantisek Blahnik.
My grandfather was born in the vilage of Trhanov very near the town of Domazlice in Chodsko Region of Western Bohemia in the Czech Republic.
As you maybe know, all Blahniks of the world have their family roots and the stem of the family tree here in the Chodsko Region in Bohemia.
I have been organizing the BLAHNIK GATHERING of all the Blahniks of the Czech Republic every year. I have live contacts to 423 Blahniks of Bohemia.
I have not yet discovered the one missing link to the main Blahnik family tree (since 1482).
Where do you live?
Please change my email address from iil@@post.cz to blahnik@@cmail.cz
I am looking forward to your answer
Yours sincerely
