Frank Chvala was born 4/21/05, my father's cousin, son of Joesph Chvala and Anna Blahnik. He grew up in Tomahawk WI. Frank's youngest brother, Jack was a teacher and the father of Chuck Chvala, the attorney that ran for governor in WI. I will bring my records along to the Algoma reunion. Joe chvala from the Twin Cities said he might go to Algoma too, he is another one of Jack's sons/ Chuck's brother.According to Joe, his grandfather was Joseph (born11/8/1879 in Cooperstown WI) and he and Anna Blahnik had 6 children, Ted, Frank, Beatrice, Belle, Joe(American Family in Madison) and John(jack).Hope this helps clarify some of this.Florence & Tom Blahnik

Mrs. Harold Choate. 43, 312 Mc-Culloch St., died at St, Michael'sHospital at 5:50 a.m. today.
She entered the hospital as a patientat 1 p m. Thursday.
Mrs. Choatehad undergone extensive surgeryduring the past nine years andwas hospitalized for three operationsin the past five months.The former Clarabelle Chvala was born April 24. 1913 in Medf ord. a daughter, of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Chvala. who now live in Tomahawk. The family moved to the latter city when she was
about nine years old.She was graduated from Tomahawk High School and came to Stevens Point afterward. She
\vas employed here by Hardware Mutuals for 17 years, part of that time in the companies' photostatic
department.She was married in Tomahawk to Mr. Choate April 26, 1947. The couple have lived since at
the McCulloch Street address. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a former member of St. Stephen's parish.Surviving are her husband; parents; a son, James, 4; three brothers, Joseph Chvala, Madison,
Jack Chvala, Deerfield, Wis.. and Frank Chvala, Ashland, and one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Mullin, Tomahawk. A brother, Clarence, preceded her in death.Funeral services have been tentatively arranged for Monday morning in St. Mary's Church in
Tomahawk. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.Friends may call from 7 o'clock this evening until 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Boston Funeral
Home. The body will then be taken to the Nick & Sons chapel in Tomahawk. A general rosary will be recited at the local funeral home at 8 o'clock this evening.

I think this is the page that you have up and it seems that maybe with the help of Tom Blahnik and some of the things I sent you, that you have managed to put more of my grandmother's history together. She was definitely descended from Frank Blahnik and Josephine Voselka and Katie Salis was her stepmother. I know she left Ashland (or Medford) very young. It seems according to the information on this page that she met my Grandfather Joe Chvala in Ashland or Medford. I know that they moved to North Dakota for seasonal farm work and were married there. The family story goes that she did not get along with her stepmother and that is why she leaved home so early.
