Patrick L. Paradise, 81, Green Bay, died Friday afternoon, Jan. 27, 2012, at Bellin Hospital. He was born in Algoma, on March 17, 1930, to the late Lawrence and Mary (Koskubar) Paradise. On July 22, 1952, he married Shirley Derenne at St. Francis Catholic Church, Duvall. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg. He was employed with Badger Liquor in Fond du Lac for over 33 years. His enjoyments included spending time at the cottage, reading, taking road trips and especially being with friends. Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years, Shirley; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Joseph and Carol Paradise, Oneida; Rita Paradise, Green Bay; as well as many nieces, nephews, special great-nieces and great-nephews.Patrick was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence "Virgil" Paradise, Alfred (Ruth) Paradise; three sisters, Margaret (Milton) Waldow, Mary (Ed) Blaha, Verna (Henry) DeBouche; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, August and Josephine Derenne.Family and friends may call at St. THOMAS THE APOSTLE CHURCH, Sugar Bush (5930 Humboldt Road, Luxemburg, 54217) 2 to 5:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012. Funeral 6 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. William O'Brien officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.McMahon Funeral Home is assisting the Paradise family.Online messages of sympathy and reflection may be sent to the family on the McMahon Funeral Home website: www.mcmahonfh.com.In lieu of flowers and plants, a memorial fund will be established.Patrick enjoyed socializing and would be honored if everyone would attend "A Meal of His Memory" following the funeral Mass at St. Thomas Church.
