Bares, Joan J.Joan J. Bares, 92, of Fond du Lac passed away on Friday, October 05, 2012 at St. Agnes Hospital. Joan was born May 4, 1920 in Kewaunee, WI, a daughter of Anton and Mary (Wawrzyniak) Dolski.On July 2, 1942 she married Raymond F. Bares at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Kewaunee, WI.Joan was a Registered Nurse in Illinois and in Wisconsin. She was past President of the Nurses Association in Freeport, IL, former member of the choir and Ladies Sodality of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeport. Joan was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella. In Fond du Lac she was a parish member at St. Louis Church, then Presentation Church and at Holy Family Catholic Community.Joan enjoyed playing cards, cooking and gardening. She loved her time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by four sons, Raymond (Nancy) Bares of Green Bay, WI, Gregory (Mary) Bares of Fitchburg, WI, Geoffrey (Barbara) Bares of Fond du Lac, WI and Michael (Peggy) Bares of Roscoe, IL; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; one brother Jerome (Edith) Dolski of Kewaunee, WI; other relatives and friends.Preceding Joan in death are her parents, Raymond her husband, Gertrude (Vernon) Ihlenfeldt and Alice (Raymond) Flaherty her sisters, Fr. Tony Dolski her brother, and two brothers in infancy.Visitation: Joan's family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac, WI, on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.Services: At 11:00 AM on Friday, October 12 a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Freeport IL, on Saturday, October 13 at 11:00 AM.
