Subject: Re: new letterLet me give this a shot. My family IS the Cooperstown family you mentioned below. In fact my great great grandfather Wenzel is buried there. He was married to Marie Kucera. They and their sons immigrated in 1862 from Nova Cerekev and Cizkov in Southern Bohemia. I have actually been to the house they lived in there. It had burned in the twenties but was rebuilt on the same foundation. I believe it was 16 Cizkov. That is how small the town was. They only had numbers not street names. Cizcov is connected to the larger town of Nova Cerekev. What a thrill it was to sit in the kitchen of that house and have coffee with the sweet couple who invited me in and look out the window and see the church that my family must have looked out on every morning across the fields in Nova Cerekev.
