Dorothy C. Wachal, age 92, former Two Creeks resident, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc. Dorothy was born March 23, 1919 in Junction City, WI to the late Joseph and Emma Fiet Vodwaska. She married Louis Milos Wachal on November 24, 1937 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Norman. He preceded her in death June 2, 2011 after 73 years of marriage. She and her husband farmed in the town of Two Creeks for many years and resided in Two Creeks until 2006 when they moved to the city. She also worked as a nurse's aide for the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. Dorothy was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers, and was a member of the Two Creeks Homemaker's Club, and former member of the Rosary Society of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and crocheting, and loved spending time with her family.She is survived by four daughters and one son-in-law: Rita Zadalis, of Two Rivers, Nancy and Chuck Schultz, of Two Rivers, Karen Hofmann, of Two Rivers, and Wendy Wachal, of Manitowoc; one son, Thomas Wachal, of Illinois. Dorothy is further survived by 12 grandchildren: Tim and Carol Zadalis, Ellen Zadalis, Laurie and Bill Kiel, Kristine and Russ Bartholomew, Mike Schultz, Cindy and Rick Sommers, Todd and Kim Hofmann, Amy and Brett Markowski, Kevin Hofmann, Ross and Barb Hofmann, Matthew Hofmann and his special friend, Dawn Wamsley, William Wachal, and his fiancee Samantha Stormo; 14 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her husband she was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law: Robert Zadalis, Butch Hofmann; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Harriet and Joe Skala, Agnes and George Schweigl, Virginia and Hilton Flavin.Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers with the Reverend Tom Reynebeau officiating, with burial to follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers. Relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation. The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Wachal family with funeral arrangements.

Anna Mastalir Anna Mastalir, 84, E4528 Krok Road, Kewaunee, died on Saturday, Aug. 24, 1991 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kewaunee. She was born Dec. 19, 1906 in the town of Carlton to the late Charles and Anne (Walecka) Wachal. She farmed all her life in the town of West Kewaunee. Mrs. Mastalir was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Rosary Society. On Aug. 26, 1936 she married Edward Mastalir in Norman. He preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1975. She is survived by one son, Leonard, Kewaunee; three sisters, Agnes Stodola, Eleanora Rogalske, both of Kewaunee; Marcella Reinke, Two Creeks; and one brother and sister-in-law, Milos and Dorothy Wachal, Two Creeks. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles and a godson, Paul Rogalske.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Church with the Rev. Danial Dewane officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Young Son of Chas Wachal, Dead. A young son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wachal residing in the western part of West Kewaunee died on Wednesday and was buried yesterday. The friends and neighbors of the community join in extending their sympathy to the bereaved parents.
