Mrs. Ernest Panosh Heart Attack Victum Mrs. Anna Panosh, 69, widow of the late Ernest Panosh, died of a heart attack Sunday afternoon while attending a card party at Holy Rosary school. She had been afflicted with a heart ailment for the past several years. The funeral service was held Wednesday morning in Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Jackowski officiated at the requiem Mass, and burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Panosh was the former Anna Schultz and was born at Tisch Mills Dec. 9, 1887. She was a lifelong resident of Kewaunee county. Her marriage to Mr. Panosh took place at Tisch Mills July 15, 1913, and shortly afterward they moved to Kewaunee. Mr. Panosh died Feb. 15, 1953, and surviving are one son, Leo, of Kewaunee; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Helen) C. Schmit, Wauwautosa; a grandson, Michael Schmit; a sister, Mrs. Mary Riha, Tisch Mills; and one brother, Wenzel Schultz, of Two Rivers.

Leo J. Panosh Leo J. Panosh, 64, 462 Wilcox Ct., De Pere, died Monday evening in a Green Bay hospital. The son of the late Ernest and Anna Panosh was born May 5, 1914, in Kewaunee and lived in De Pere the past eight years. He was a graduate of Valparaiso University, majoring in Engineering. Mr. Panosh served in World War II in the Phillipine Theater, and was involved in the Battle of Luzon. On April 4, 1958, he married the former Shirley Haack in Algoma. He had been an engineer at WNFL for 25 years, and 10 years at Channel 11 TV. Mr. Panosh was a member and officer of Hope Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife; one son Tom, at home; four daughters, Peggy, Green Bay; Polly, Jennifer, and Abby, all at home; one sister, Mrs. Helen Schmidt, and one nephew, Michael Schmidt, both of Wauwautosa. Friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and after 10 a.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church. Funeral 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Carl Ehrfurth officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund to Hope Lutheran Building Fund has been established.

OSTRUM PASSES, NAVY HOSPITAL
Kewaunee - Funeral rites for Evert Ostrum, former member of the Kewaunee High school faculty, and up to his death a 1st class teacher specialist in the Navy, were held here Tuesday morning. Rites were held from Holy Rosary church and interment was made in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Johanek officiated. Ostrum died at the United States Naval hospital, Norman, Okla., after an illness of about two months with pneumonia and complications. He was 29. He was born June 20, 1914, at Clear Lake. After graduating from High school there he entered Stout Institute and completed his teachers training in 1939. His first position was instructor of manual arts at the Kewaunee High school, holding that position until Aug. 10 last year when he went to Chicago to become a civilian instructor in the Navy. He had since been assigned as an instructor at the air technical training center at Norman, Okla. June 8, 1940, he was married to Miss Helen Panosh, who survives. Other survivors are his father, Andrew Ostrum, Clear Lake, a brother, Oscar, also of Clear Lake, and a sister, Mrs. Edward Newman, Los Angeles, Calif.
