Funeral services for Anne Marie Valecka, 86, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. The Rev. Nathan Bartel will officiate.
Born June 6, 1914, in Chicago, she died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park.
Surviving are her son Joseph (Susan) Valecka of Wheaton; and grandchildren, Robert and Suzanne Valecka.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Valecka, and son Robert.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Victor Jerabek
Victor Jerabek, age 79, of 1097 s. Main St., Mishicot, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 21, 2001, at Aurora Medical Center. He was born March 1, 1922, son of the late John and Pauline Wlecka Jerabek, at Casco, Wis. He served the United State Ary from 1942-1944, overseas in India. After he was discharged he helped his dad mink ranching in Tisch Mills. Victor was employed for 26 years at the Mirro Corporation, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Mishicot V.F.W. Post 7753, and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #24 of Two Rivers. On June 15, 1946, he married Leonora Kasten, at her home in Francis Creek. They resided in the Mishicot area most of their life. He liked his polka dancing. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Leonora; five sons and two daughters-in-law, Duane, Michael, Paul (fiancee, LouAnn), Jerabek, Mishicot, Lyle (Suzanne) Jerabek, Manitowoc, Loren (Lorraine), Shirley; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Judith (Pat)LaPlante, Manitowoc, Vicky (Jan) Walotkiewicz, Two Rivers, Brenda (Michael Van Sleet, Manitowoc, Martha Jerabek, Two Rivers; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Joan and Edgar Muench, Waukesha, Bernice Worachek, Green Vay; one brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Lorraine Jerabek, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Wencel and Mildred Doleysh, Mishicot, Darlene Morrison, Oshkosh; ten grandchildren, Scott and Kenny Walotkiewicz, Jordan Jerabek, Stephen and Brian Krejcarek, Sara and Kathleen Van Sleet, Skylar and Hunter Jerabek, Lora(Don) Meissner; two great grandchildren, Devin Jerabek and Haily Meissner; two special people, Michelle and Chad Boettcher; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Shirley; his father and mother-in-law; three brothers-in-law, Frank Zavadil, Harvey Woracheck, and Roger Morrison; and a nephew, Donald Doleysh. Family Services with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. He's going to fly, when his time here is through. First he'll have to let go of some things he can't use cause people and places, memories and faces are just way to heavy it seems to carry on angel's wings. John J. Jerabek, 81 of Kewaunee, died Monday evening at a Two Rivers Nursing Home following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Community Congregational Church, Kewaunee. The Rev. W.T. Hosking will officiate and the burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Kewaunee.
Mr. Jerabek was born Jan. 28, 1890, in the Town of Casco, son of the late John and Anna Novak Jerabek. He resided in Kewaunee County all his life. He married Pauline Walecka June 14, 1916. His wife preceded him in death about two and one half years ago. Mrs. Jerabek was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge of Slovan. Survivors include two sons, Victor of Mishicot and Leo of Pigeon Lake, two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Bernice) Worachek of Tisch Mills and Mrs. Joan Zovadil of Milwaukee, two brothers, Edward of Kewaunee and Loddie of DePere, a sister, Mrs. Joseph Klemish of Maribel, 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Friends may call at Swoboda Funeral Chapel, Kewaunee, after 4 o'clock this Wednesday afternoon untill 11 a.m. Thuresday and then at the church until the time of service.

Jerabek, age 85, a Manitowoc resident, died on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.Leo was born in Kellnersville on Sept. 29, 1924, son of the late John and Pauline (Walecka) Jerabek.He attended Kewaunee High School, graduating with the class of 1943. He went on to further his education at the University of Oshkosh. Leo served our country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. On Oct. 4, 1945, he married Lorraine Eis at Randolph Field in Texas. Leo was employed at Paragon Electric Co. in Two Rivers, as Manager Production Engineering Department.He also worked at the Manitowoc Company, first as a senior industrial engineer and then as General Supervisor of Transportation, Shipping, and Stores, retiring in 1985.Leo was a life member of the Manitowoc Yacht Club and a member of Lakeshore Snowmobile Club.Leo is survived by his wife: Lorraine, Manitowoc; three sons and daughters-in-law: Jerry and Kathy Jerabek, Chicago area, Ned and Carol Jerabek, Santa Fe, N.M., and Jeff and Amy Jerabek, Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters and two sons-in-law: Connie Eis and husband Jim Dunn, Stuart, Fla. and Leah Jerabek and husband Rick Gerarden, Milwaukee; and two grandchildren: Elizabeth Jerabek, Brooklyn, N.Y. and Jill Jerabek, New York, N.Y. Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive. Leo was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, June 28, 2010, at Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel, town of Kossuth. Worachek on June 15, 1939, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Norman. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1994. She and her husband farmed for many years in the town of Carlton, Kewaunee County.Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and James Plansky, Green Valley, Ariz.; Nancy and Delmar Thielbar, Bolt; three grandchildren, Jesse Sheffer; Troy (Bambie) Thielbar; Dean (Penny) Thielbar; five great-grandchildren, Lexi, Tia, Bryce, Savannah and Austin. She is further survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Lorraine Jerabek, Silver Lake; a brother-in-law, James Duffeck, Green Bay; a sister-in-law, Lenora Jerabek, Mishicot; nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Victor Jerabek, and one sister, Joan Muench.
Private family funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum. The Rev. Sonia Alvarado officiated at the service. The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, Mishicot, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.

Frank Zavadil, a former resident of
Kewaunee, died on Friday afternoon of last week at Butler, a Milwaukee suburb. He was fifty-four years of age.
Mr. Zavadil was a native of Milwaukee, where he was born in 1912. he was married to the former Joan Jerabek on December 31, 1938.
Survivors are his wife, a son, Daniel of Milwaukee; his mother, Mrs. Frank Zavadil, Sr., and a brother Edward, of Kewaunee.
