Viola Marie Gotstein
Viola Marie (nee Holub) Gotstein, formerly of Kewaunee and Florida, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, in Dallas, Texas. Viola was born in Michigan on March 22, 1905, to the late Emanuel and Anna (Kalchek) Holub. She married Ervin Gotstein on Sept. 14, 1929, at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee.She is survived by two daughters, Pat (Joe) Brussard, Dallas, Texas; Roberta Woodlief, Jacksonville, Fla.; and one son, Mike (Marge) Gotstein, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle (Leo) of Fremont, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Gotstein; three brothers, Harry, Emmanuel and Sylvester Holub; three sisters, Lillian Miller, Erma Arle and Sylvia Leyse.A memorial service will be held at a later date and interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Kewaunee

July 18, 2011Hi Jim, My grandfather, George was the son of Jacob A Blahnik and Katherine Goettinger. He was married to Josephine Baumeister and had five sons, Lavern, Ted, George, Stanley and our dad, Gilbert. George and Josephine also had one daughter, Regina. My dad grew up on the Annapee. My grandmother Josephine and my uncles Ted and Stanley lived on the farm until their deaths. We grew up in Manitowoc, our mother was Eleanore Ciche. Gilbert and Eleanore, had four children George, Joy, Jane and me (Joni).
