Cmeyla, Algoma.The bride wore a white satin gown trimmed with lace and a long trailing veil caught in cap effect with rhinestones and orange blossoms and a shoulder length veil and carried a large bouquet of mixed flowers. She was attended by Mrs. Wilfred Detjen who wore a pick crepe dress and blue accessories and Miss Helen Hlinak; sister of the bride, who wore a blue crepe dress with pick accessories. Marion Hlinak, a cousin of the bride, was dressed in a pick taffete dress, a pink and blue taffetta bonnet and carried a basket of mix flowers.Clemence Blahnik and Wilfred Detjen attended the bridegroom.A wedding dinner was served Hruska's to about 25 guests following the wedding and a reception was held at the Hlinak home durning the afternoon and evening. Posted February 9, 2007Plansky, Richard J. Richard J. Plansky, 87, E33282 Hwy. G, Kewaunee, WI, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at Hamilton Memorial Home in Two Rivers, WI. He was born March 30, 1919, to the late Wenzel and Catherine (Nemechek) Plansky in the Town of Carlton, WI. Richard married Elsie Blahnik Oct. 26, 1940, at St. Joseph Church in Norman. He farmed and work at Hamilton Manufactory for 32 years and since then cut several cemeteries for 10 years. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, making lawn ornaments, and gardening. Lifelong member of St. Joseph Church of Norman, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, and Fr. Marquette Council of Kewaunee. Richard loved and enjoyed his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Elsie; one daughter and son-in-law: Sharon (Duerschmidt) and Gene Krahn of Eagle River; six grandchildren: Gail and Dave Powers, Milwaukee; Brian and Lorena Duerschmidt, Two Rivers; Lynn Baruth and special friend Goose, Two Rivers; Dale Duerschmidt, Two Rivers; Paula Hardy, Appleton; and Erik Duerschmidt special friend Shannon, Two Rivers; 14 great-grandchildren; two brother-in-law and three sister-in-law: Evelyne Walechka, Norman; Clarence and Alice Staral, Milwaukee; Frank and Anita Staral, Kenosha; and several nieces, nephews, and relatives and friends. Preceded in death by one daughter Mary Kay; three brothers and two sister-in-law: John and Helen Plansky, George and Victoria Plansky, Louis Plansky, Mathilda (Clarence) Karl, Mildred (Leonard) Stangel; son-in-law Kenneth Duerschmidt; father-in-law and mother-in-law Thomas and Mary (Blahnik) Staral; stepfather-in-law Frank Staral; brother-in-law Laddie Walechka. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday. Visitation continues after 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at St. Isadore the Farmer Church/St. Joseph Site in Norman. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. with Fr. Joseph Coopmans officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Hamilton Memorial Home, the pastors, families, and friends for their visits and prayers. All medical staffs of the hospitals and nursing home.
