Obituary courtesy of Bob Blahnik:Lonnie A. Lemberger Lonnie A. Lemberger, age 70, formerly of 10123 Fisherville Road, Maribel, died early on Tuesday morning, July 24, 2007, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center, where he had been a resident for several years. Lonnie was born on Oct. 10, 1936, in the town of Maple Grove, son of the late George and Alice Blahnik Lemberger. He graduated in 1954 from Reedsville High School, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on Nov. 4, 1954, and was discharged on Sept. 3, 1958. Lonnie was married to Judith A. Depotie on Nov. 18, 1967, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on May 20, 2001. Lonnie worked for Hamilton Manufacturing in Two Rivers and retired in the early 1990s due to illness. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. He was an avid collector of antique tractors, steam and gas engines, and loved to tinker. Survivors include one son: David Lemberger, Manitowoc; one daughter: Lonette Lemberger, Holland, Mich.; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Garry (Linda) Lemberger, Reedsville; William (Judi) Lemberger, Luxemburg; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Duaine (Ruth) Depotie, Hardwood, Mich.; Alfred (Eloda) Depotie, Franklin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Lonnie was preceded in death by his wife: Judith; his parents: George and Alice Lemberger; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Joseph and Lena Depotie; one brother-in-law: Richard Depotie, and one sister-in-law: June Depotie. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center Chapel, 2021 S. Alverno Road, Manitowoc. The Rev. Rallen Stencil of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville, will officiate, with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Highway 310, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the chapel, on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville, is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name. Lonnie's family would like to offer a special thank you for the compassion, care, and concern, shown to him by the staff of the Manitowoc Health Care Center, and the Hochkammer Group Home, during his illness the past several years.
