Frank Blahnik M 30
Spouse Antionette Blahnik F 29==========Hi Lori,
I have been reading about the Blahnik Family Reunion.I have also been trying to trace my Blahnik Family, my Dad
also did this back in the 1970's. He spoke with Arthur and never
really made the connection. I am hoping now 30 years later
and with the Internet it might now be possible.I am very new to genealogy so let me tell you what I know.My Great Grandparents: Joseph Blahnik born 5/20/1875 near Pilzen
married Josephia (Kec) born 9/16/1875
They had 6 children: Frank
Joseph
Walter
Vincent
Rose
Anna
Frank, my Grand Father, was born in Duchcov,Czechoslovakia 8/16/1899. I know the family were miners and moved
from NW Bohemia to Merracour, France in the early 1920's to mine coal. They returned to Czech in 1927. My Grandfather was married to Antonie Chytry (born 4/2/1901) by then and he decided to immigrate to America. He came first in 1927 sponsored by cousins Emil and Anton Kec, and settled in Chicago. My Grandmother, Antonie, came in 1929 with her twin sons, my father, Anton and uncle, Joseph (born 11/26/1923 in Merricourt, France (current spelling).) Lori, any help you can provide will be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Jeanne (Blahnik) Nelson
=============
7/16/2011Hi Lori,
I'm back at this again. Thank you so much for the ships records you sent.
I do not have the documents for Frank's travel, my cousins have them but will
try to locate them as soon as possible. We've had a death in their family
so timing is not just right now.
Do you have access via the Visa number to more information? I know
he was sponsored by Emil and Anton Kec. His first address once my
Grandmother and Anton and Joseph arrived in 1929 was 1603 Alport
in Chicago.
Would his name be on the Visa for Antonie and Joseph and Anton?
I agree with you the similarities are many. I know he spoke 7 languages.
So reading and writing Czech is correct.

later correction, birth place is Stansice
