Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jill Blahnik; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, grandson, Steve and Terrie Blahnik and family, Joseph, Andrew, Megan; granddaughter, Tresea Underwood, daughters, Tawnya, Jessica, Laura; grandson, David and Sherry Blahnik daughter Abigail and granddaughter, Julie and David Nichols, sons, Brian and Kevin; brothers and sisters, Sally Nelson, Seymour; Stella Goodman, Chicago; Arthur and Dorothy Cichocki, De Pere; Irene Straub, Pulaski; Evelyn Vanden Huvel, Green Bay; Beatrice and Lyle Schroeder, De Pere; Alma and Roy Koerner, Green Bay; Ruth Virbick, Green Bay; Bernard and Ruth Cichocki, Howards Grove; nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. Blahnik, Bernard E. Bernard E. Blahnik, 78, Rock Island, Ill., died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport, Iowa. Mr. Blahnik was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Manitowoc, Wis., a son of Edward and Elizabeth Leiterman Blahnik. He married Bobbe Soletski, Dec. 30, 1943, in Denmark, Wis. Bernard graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration, and was also a graduate of the Purdue University Professional Management Institute. He joined Modern Woodmen of America in 1957 and became manager of Modern Woodmen's Illinois Northwest agency in 1964. Bernard served on the Society's board of directors from 1990 to 1993 and retired as agency manager in January 1999. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the City of Rock Island Liquor Commission, the Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club and was Chairman of the Board of the Calvary Cemetery Assn. He served a number of years as president of the Parents Club of the Villa de Chantel, Rock Island. Bernard loved his family and was fond of animals. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed boating. Survivors include his wife, Bobbe; daughters, Barbara Mueller, Rock Island; and Robbie Blahnik and her fiance, Jimmy J. Contreras, Rock Island; grandchildren, John Mueller, Rock Island; and Katherine Mueller and her companion, Nicolas A.Varadi, Chicago; and brother, Donald Blahnik, Green Bay. He died Aug. 31, 2006. Bobbe attended Marquette University, Milwaukee. In early years she worked as a nanny and later as a model. She was a member of the Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club, Lindsay Boat Club and had served as a volunteer for Augustana College. She was a former member of the Outing Club, the Rock Island Junior Board and with her late husband was a member of the parents club at the Villa de Chantal. Bobbe loved to shop, travel, politics, boating, the Green Bay Packers and reading, she also had an interest in proper nutrition. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara A. Mueller, Rock Island, and Robbie L. Blahnik and her fianc�, Jimmy J. Contreras, Rock Island; grandchildren, John J. Mueller, III, Rock Island, and Katherine A. Mueller and her companion, Nicolas A. Varadi, Chicago; her sister, Irene Capelle, Green Bay, WI and her special pet dog and companion, Lovie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 10 brothers and sisters. He attended Green Bay East High School and graduated from lakeshore Technical College. On July 25, 1997, he married Jessica Allred in Green Bay. He recently completed Basic Training at Fort Gordon Army Base in Georgia in LT. Training.Survivors include: his wife, Jessica, two children: Marissa Taylor and Morgan-Marie, both at home; his mother and stepfather:_and Dewev Capelle.. Green Bay; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Paul and Debbie'Krepline, of Brillion;liis brother: Benjamin Blahnik, Green Bay; his sister: Amber Blahnik, Green Bay; his brother-in-law: Christopher Krepline; his sister-in-law: Samantha Kreplilie: his grandparents: Sally Katzbahn, Gaylord Katzbahn, Grace Blahnik, Barbara and Jiggs Braun and Minnie Allred. A complete obituary will appear in Monday's paper.Charles "Chuck" E. Blahnik, 72, Seymour, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. He was born on May 31, 1938, son of the late John and Mildred (Eiting) Blahnik. Chuck, along with his wife, Carmie, farmed in the town of Seymour for many years and later he ran a successful crop insurance agency. He was a member of St John's Catholic Church in Seymour, and was a past Lions Club Member and School Board member.
Dad had a passion for sales and the opportunity to meet people. He loved to travel the countryside and visit with his friends and customers. He had a smile that could light up a room and that smile charmed the wonderful caretakers he had in the final years and days of his life. But that smile shined brightest when the love of his life, Carmie, walked into the room.Survivors include his children,
