FAMILIES:
1-All families descend from Ondra down
to N. Blahnik c1555 at Blahnik Mill 2- son Vaclav (VI2)
splits of to Lhota through his grandson Hamus.
2- His brother MATEJ (VI1) (Blanieckh) Blahnikc 1580 continued with the Mill through
Martin VII
From Martin
there were four sons
a-Jakob (VIII2s) family stayed
with the mill before going to Smrzovice
b-Jiri Petrk (VIII1 a+c)
was the father of what would be the Algoma Blahniks
who would go to Hluboka, Starec and the Canadian
Blahniks who would stay with the mill and have some eventually immigrate
to Canada"
c-Matej (VIII3m) who
lived or had family in Klatovy (per Ladislav), Lhota, Pocinovice. Not all his
children are identified, some could have continued at the Mill for a while.
Most likely 1X3m Vaclav was Matej's son
d-the fourth son, Jan (VIII4) appears to have children in
Klatovy.

Nova Mola (31)
first appears in the records in vol 3 withMatej
c1668-5/21/1763 died Nova Mola and wife Marketa. His
son Jakub was born there in 1736. Loucim mentioned with
Wenceslausborn est
1690-1720 & Anna
Blahnik
in vol 3. They had a daughter12/9/1737 Barbora. His parents are unknown at this time.
These Blahniks seen to be from the
Libkov family from the 1400's.
The family line generations follow
from Ondra
I. Ondra documented in 1482
in Libkov. Probably born abouy 1455 and died after 1482. He was a
serf.
II. Martinwas born
perhaps as early as 1480. He became a free man and bought the farm called
Snopkov in 1505. His wife was Lidmilla.
III. Their son was only known by his first initial
"N." and may have been
born about 1500 and lived in Libkov on the farm. He died about 1571.
IV. HronBlahnik would
have been born about 1525 and continued as a free farmer at Snopkov. The
farm was passed on to Hron's daughter, Anna. The farm was sold in 1609
according to Ladislav Blahnik. Hron's son "N" (Natej?) moved to the 'Mill
under Lhota" Blahniks mill area in 1599. There were 4 lower mills in
the villages of Lhota and Pocinovice.
V. N. (Natej?)Blahnik
would have been born sometime around 1555 and moved to the mill in 1599.
He had 3 sons; Matej (VI1), Vaclav (VI2) and Jan (VI3).
Matej (VI1) became proprietor of the mill and had his brothers living w/ him
initially. Ladislav found church records showing the men renting cows from
the Church. Matej
(VI1)would have been
born approximately 1580 and would pass the mill on to his son Vaclav
(VI2) would have been born perhaps 1590 and Ladislav referred to him
having moved on to become as the founder of the "Lhota" Blahniks Jan
(VI3) was mentioned with Matej at the mill but Ladislav did not
continue with any descendents from him. We could estimate his birth
perhaps at 1600.
VI1. Matej Blahnik,
one of N (Natej?) Blahnik's sons, would have been born perhaps 1580 and died
after 1654. He was the owner of Blahnik Mill. Ladislav found that
Matej and Jan Sazama of Pocinovice, gave 6 times 60 pieces of 'spici (a
type of currency)', for the purchase of a tin chalice for the Lord's Supper in
1622. His son, Martin, inherited the mill. No other children are
mentioned.
Matej's son:
>VII.Martin Blahnikwas born at
Blahnik Mill perhaps about 1600 and died after 1652. He was recorded on
the 1652 tax records of 1652 under the last name "Blanieckh". He had
one water wheel, the mill, and sixty acres .
of field. He also
had 9 teams of horses, 5 cows, 9 young cows, 16 sheep and 20 pigs.
Ladislav thought Martin may have used the teams of horses to transport wood or
perhaps iron ore dug near the village of Pocinovice.
He might have even
transported charcoal that was made in the surrounding forests. Ladislav
said Martin had several sons and identified four of them as
Jir Petrk (VIII1 a+c),
Matej
(VIII3m) Blahnik, Jan (VIII4) Blahnik and
Jakob
(James VIII2 Smr).
The sons Jiri and Jakob each
inherited part of the mill while the other two sons moved on to other mills.
Sometimes the name Petrak was used by Jiri and his sons. Names were not
always stable during this time period.
Ladislav said that
Matej
(VIII3m) had 3 children but gave no names. Jakub Petrak Blahnik IX1m (born c1673
like Ladislav said) went on to marry Marketa 1/28/1691 at Blahnik Mill with 5
children shown above in gray. The
other two could be in
the records above as unknown people. Jan (VIII4) had 4 sons and a
daughter.
VIII1.Jir Petrkaka
Blahnik ancestor of Algoma, Canada and U Blahniku families. He would
have been born at the mill c1625and died Bef. 1704. He married Anna Jakouboke in Klatovy. Jiri inherited the mill with his brother Jakob
(VIII2 Smr). He would pass it down to his sons Peter (IX1a) founder of the Algoma Blahnik family and
Jan Jakub Petrk (IX2c) founder of the Canadian
Blahnik family.

of Martin who inherited Blahniks Mill. He was born 1652 and died in
1700. He had two sons; Simon (IX1s)

there were 2 other brothers but does not name them. Simon and Jakub

Vaclav (VI2) c1590
had lived at Blahnik Mill but went on to (Chodsko) Lhota where he raised his
family. Ladislav called him the founder of the Lhota Blahnik branch.
Vaclav's son:
VII.
Matej (VIIh) Blahnik was
Vaclav's son and would have been born about 1615. Ladislav wrote that
Matej was shown with 30 acres of field and had 2 teams of horses, 1 cow, one
young cow, 4 sheep and 7 pigs in the 1652 tax
records for the village
of Lhota. This was for the St. Cross property owned by Lord Fredrich
Lamminger.
VIII. Hamus Blahnik
(VIIIh)
was the only son Ladislav found for Matej (VII). He could have been born
about 1635 and he died in 1682. His wife was Alebeta and they had 4 sons
and 2 daughters; Matous (IX1) c1659 , Marketa (IX2), Michal (IX3) 1654,
(VIII3m)Jan (IX4) c1655, Dorota
(IX5) and Pavel (IX6) c1655.

sons. He was born 1659 and married Margareta Lamm___ on
7/7/1706 Lhota

Michal (IX3h)was one of Hamus'
sons. He was born 1654 and married Alebeta. Michal may also have had

The Loucim records start in 1686
and this is the first book of births, deaths and marriages. Records before
this need to be researched with things like property records, taxes, other
church records or other available resources.
Records have been found for the Generation that would have been number (8) VIII,
the children of the brothers Jir Petrk (VIII1 a+c)
Jakob(James VIII2 Smr). Jiri's sons
were Peter (IX1a) and
Jan Jakub Petrk (IX2c).
Jakob's sons
were Simon (IX1s) and
Jakub Jr. (IX2)
Martin Abt. 1661 who married
to Dorota had a
child 4/6/1702
in the chart above. He hasn't been fully
identified could be a possible son of Matej (VIII3m) . It is the Loucim family.
Or possibly an unidentified son of Hamus born about 1635 (VIIIh). Possibly
related to Matej (VII) ?
