SIMON6 BLAHNIK, SR.  (GEORGE5, GEORG4, GEORGIUS3, JACOBUS2, WENCESLAUS1  was born October 27, 1867 in Algoma, WI, and died November 11, 1942 in Algoma, WI (Source: Vol 11 page 700 Kewaunee Co deaths).  He married ANNA SRNKA 1894 (Source: Wenzel Blahnik.), daughter of WENZEL SRNKA and ANNA UNKNOWN.  She was born May 20, 1873 in Lincoln, Kewaunee County, WI (Source: Wenzel Blahnik.), and died July 22, 1921 in Gillette, WI (Source: Wenzel Blahnik.).

Simon Blahnik dies suddenly, a heart attack caused his death.  Simon was 76 years old when he passed away at his home Wednesday afternoon on fifty St., about 3 o'clock.  Mr. Blahnik had been in ill health for about a year.  The H.F. Thomas will conduct funeral service for Mr. Blahnik, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church.  And the church rite will be preceded by a short service from the Haucke Funeral Home at 1:30.  Burial will be in the Evergreens.
Mr. Blahnik was born in the Kodan Community Oct. 28, 1866 on the farm now, operated by his brother Charles Blahnik.  He married Ann Srnka, Town of Lincoln in 1894 and shortly after their marriage they moved to a farm in the town of Forestville.  They lived there for about 20 years.  From there they moved to Oconto.  Mr. Blahnik, operated a farm near Gillette until his retirement in 1929.
In that year the Blahnik farm was sold to Oconto County, for the County farm and Mr. Blahnik came to Algoma to live a retired life.  Mrs. Blahnik died in Dec. 1936.
Surviving are four sons and a daughter.  They are Simon Jr. and William of Algoma, and Mrs. Grover (Lillian) McMillen, and Milton of Detroit, MI.  One son Edward died in 1936.  Others remaining are five grandchildren, four brothers Charles, Kodan, Louis Ewen Mich. Wenzil in Lena, and Emil of Algoma and two sisters Mrs. Frank Hucek, Forestville, and Mrs. John Barta, Two Rivers.

He married DELLA L. (DORA) SCHLUESSEL June 02, 1922 in Oconto Falls, WI (Source: Wenzel Blahnik.), daughter of HENRY SCHLESSEL and LOUISE UNKNOWN. William R. Blahnik, 90, formerly of 709 Third Street, Algoma, died unexpectedly Friday, May 30th at Shady Lane Home in Manitowoc.
Funeral services were held Monday at Haucke-Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, the Rev. David Dolan officiating and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Blahnik was born May 31, 1895 in Forestville and as a young man moved to Gillett area where he farmed and worked at the Gillett Canning Co. for a number of years. Later he moved to Detroit and worked as a machinist but moved back to Gillett until 1932 when he and his wife moved to Algoma. He and his brother started Blahnik Motors and had a Chevrolet Agency for over 25 years. After retirement he continued to live in Algoma.
His marriage to Della Schluessel took place June 22, 1929 at Oconto Falls. She died July 21, 1972.  William Blahnik was a member of the Golden Age club.
Surviving are a son and daughter in-law, Gary and Genevieve, Greenfield; one daughter and son in-law, Bernadine and Carl Stoeger, Two Rivers; six Grandchildren; a sister in-law, Mary Blahnik, Detroit, MI.  His wife, three brothers and a grandson preceded him in death.

Simon A. Blahnik, 86, Appleton, died Tuesday, Dec. 27 at the Appleton Extended Care Center after
an extended illness.  He was born July 14, 1897 in the Town of Forestville.  He graduated from Algoma High School, then operated the family farm in Gillett for 12 years.  His marriage to Lillian Bennett took place in 1927 in Gillett.
In 1931 he and his brother, William started the Chevrolet Agency in Algoma and operated it for over 30 years.
Mr. Blahnik belonged to Masonic Lodge No. 174.
Surviving are a son, Arnold, Oregon, WI and a daughter Eileen Allinger, Appleton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and a brother, William, Algoma.
His wife preceded him in death in 1973 also two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Haucke-Schinderly Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Kojis officiating,  Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.

EDWARD BLAHNIK (SIMON6,GEORGE5, GEORG4, GEORGIUS3, JACOBUS2, WENCESLAUS1) was born Nov. 5, 1903 in Forestville, WI.  Died September 16, 1936 Algoma, WI.  He was never married and died in a work place accident. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma WI.

Edward John Blahnik 32 died at Algoma Memorial Hospital at 3:15 Wednesday morning as a result of injuries received August 15 within the City limits on Highway 42 where he was caught between a wrecker and a car.
Funeral services will be held to-day Friday at 1:30 from the Foley Home and at 2 o'clock from the Methodist Episcopal Church in the City. The Rev. J. F. Witter will officiate and internment will be in the Evergreens.
Pallbearers will be Victor Blahnik, Ted Blahnik, Albert Blahnik, Frank Srnka, Joseph Srnka and Harry Ceaser.
Mr. Blahnik was born Nov. 5, 1903 in Forestville and lived 15 years at Gillett. In recent years he has been employed at the Blahnik Garage in Algoma as a mechanic.
Surviving are his father Simon Blahnik, Sr. and a sister, Mrs. Grover McMillian Detroit, MI, and three brothers, William, Simon Jr. and Milton all of Algoma.
When the accident happened Mr. Blahnik has just finished unhooking the wrecker from a car he had pulled from the ditch and was almost out from between the wrecker and the car he pulled out when a car driven by Steve Shimske of Milwaukee, struck the coupe and forced it against the wrecker pinning Blahnik between the machine. The force of the impact was so terrific that the wrecker which stood in gear was pushed forward more than 50 feet. The lower part of Blahnik's body was badly lacerated.
